drug abuse-4.5%
industrial-3.4% cases.
the accidental cases mainly involve.
1.ingestion i.e swallowed poison through mouth.
2.inhalation of gases
3.ocular exposure
4.topical exposure
5.envenomation
as general rule of the treatment of poisoning is adminitration of demulcents,dilution.
Only 10% of cases emesis is induced.
